Lola

This one is interesting, and one of my private collection pieces. Actually I should say THESE ONES... as there are two of them. They are both massive (61.5"x81.5" ~1.56x2.07 meters for those of us who like the metric system). There is One in Toronto (Lola going) and one in Bogota (Lola coming back) with someone I ADORE....

The story behind "These Boots" is as follows: Outside the train window, I saw Lola walking on the tracks. The rain poured down and at twenty-odd miles an... hour, in a tidy frame of lace curtains, her image showed up…all distorted through a drop of rain. She was wearing a purple shirt under a skinny black coat that made you remember how much of a girl she was, and trashed red boots that made you forget. On my way home, I saw Lola again, walking on the tracks. Where had she been all this time? Did she walk in the rain so no one would see her cry?
